We get things done when we say they will be done.
We face each challenge with a fresh perspective that allows creativity to flourish.
We are the partner you can count on regardless of the obstacles you are facing.
Water Bear Design Studio's commitment is to provide the best learning experience for your content.
This means weaving together two areas of focus: the subject development and the visual and interactive strategy. However, the visual and interactive strategy, how the content is consumed, tends to be an afterthought. This leads to learners disengaging from the training and losing retention of the material. By weaving these two focuses together, learners can connect with your content in a more meaningful way.
The Water Bear Design Studio approach to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) design provides a solution that meets everyone's need, regardless of how they learn.
Engaging, personable voice overs will provide compelling stories and colorful examples in all eLearning courses.
The content of each course will be provided in a well-written format that allows the learner to reference policies and processes whenever they need to.
Interactions will help the learner practice provided processes instead of just clicking to simply get through to the end.
Concepts will have relevant, engaging visuals illustrating their meaning and their importance to the learner.
Kristen Miller, Founder
I graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design back in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in animation. And go figure, no one was hiring animators in the middle of a recession. Instead I fell into a career that I didn't even know existed back then, corporate training - specifically eLearning. My understanding at that time was that, if you wanted to continue your education as an adult, you went back to college. Much to my delight, the skills and programs I learned in college translated beautifully into this new world, and teaching others to succeed was always a passion, even back in grade school.
My career began in a small eLearning firm in Ohio where I applied my animation and illustration skills, creating thoughtful, engaging curriculums. From there, I jumped into the world of consulting, building eLearning to help workforces move through complex digital transformations, as well as internal trainings that helped business consultants and tech developers work together to make the best solutions for our customers.
With over fifteen years of experience in the eLearning industry: developing, consulting, and coaching solutions in a range of industries, my career goal over the years has been to develop strong visuals to educate and reinforce complex content to learners.
With over 15+ years of experience building quality eLearning in the hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, consulting, tech, food, airline, financial, and automotive industries, Water Bear Design Studio has learned how different learning audiences react to different training modalities and how to leverage this knowledge to provide the best training for everyone.
Water Bear Design Studio has quite the unusual mascot, but it was chosen for very important reasons. Tardigrades, also known as water bears, are amazing creatures that grow as big as the period at the end of this sentence. As their nickname implies, these amazing creatures live in water, but we aren't just talking about those calm ponds and creeks you find right outside your door. No, these little wonders can be found from the highest mountain peak to the lowest point of the ocean, and from freezing cold temperatures to volcanic heat. Regardless of the conditions, Tardigrades thrive.
And just like the Tardigrade, regardless of what we come across, Water Bear Design Studio thrives when faced with learning challenges, embracing the chance to demonstrate our adaptability, strength, and creative nature.
